Photo Lane

All my life I have been fascinated with photography and have spent many years taking photographs. I have spent the last few years learning how to make a photograph. I don’t think I ever understood what Ansel Adams meant when he said there was a difference.
My photographs are an expression of what I feel and visualize when I am looking out at a magnificent landscape, peering up at a tree, stumbling through a stream, tripping on a rock, or wherever. There is always something that grabs my attention and says, “Look at me!” by the way the light falls on a subject. That is what photography is all about, painting with light. Hopefully, my images will make you look at the familiar in a different way.
